DivTracker AI stores the email address you sign in with and the portfolio records you enter. It has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
Who is responsible
DivTracker AI is made by Mircea Giurca, who is the controller of the personal data described here. Write to mirceacnu@gmail.com with any question about it.
What is stored
- Your email address. It is used to send you the sign-in link and to recognise your account.
- What you enter. The names of the brokers and banks you add, an optional reference for each account, and your purchases and sales with their dates, quantities, prices, fees and tickers. The app uses them to show what you hold and what it cost you.
- Sign-in records. The sign-in service keeps what it needs to keep you signed in and to protect your account, such as session details, the time of sign-in and the network address it came from.
The app does not ask for your contacts, photos, location or microphone, and does not read anything else on your phone.
The interpretation on the Portfolio tab
The Read and Ask sections explain what your figures mean: how concentrated your holdings are, what they depend on, what drove your gain or loss, and what in your records is missing; with Apple Intelligence they can also say what you might consider. The figures are worked out on your phone from your own records. On an iPhone with Apple Intelligence, the sentences are written by Apple’s on-device language model (the Foundation Models framework); on other phones, the app writes them from its own templates.
- All of it happens on your phone. Your records, your questions and the answers are not sent to me, to Apple or to any AI service, and are not used to train any model.
- Questions you type in Ask are not stored.
- The app uses no third-party AI service and contains no third-party AI software.
What is not done
- No advertising, and no advertising identifier.
- No analytics or tracking tools, and no tracking of you across other companies’ apps and websites.
- Your data is not sold, and it is not shared for advertising.
Who handles the data for me
- Supabase hosts the database and the sign-in service, runs the code that fetches prices and sends the sign-in email. The data is stored in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
- A market-data provider is asked for closing prices. It receives the tickers that are needed, never your name, your email address or your amounts.
- The European Central Bank publishes the exchange rates, which are fetched from its public website.
- Apple distributes the app and handles its own data under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Expo builds the app and hosts this website, and may keep ordinary server logs of visits to it.
Why this is allowed
Your email address and your records are used because they are needed to give you the app you asked for. Sign-in records are also kept to keep accounts safe, which is a legitimate interest of mine and of you.
How long it is kept, and deleting it
Your data is kept for as long as you have an account. To delete it, open the You tab in the app and choose “Delete account”. That removes your account and the portfolio data that belongs only to it, straight away. Copies in my providers’ backups are overwritten as those backups age out. If you cannot open the app, write to me and I will delete the account for you.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how it is used, to receive it in a usable format, or to stop a use you object to. Write to the address above. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
DivTracker AI is not meant for children under 16, and I do not knowingly store their data.
Not financial advice
The app records and calculates from what you enter. Prices and exchange rates come from third parties and can be late or wrong. The interpretation, and anything Apple Intelligence writes in it about what you might consider, is generated automatically, can be wrong and does not know your circumstances. Nothing in the app is financial, tax or investment advice; check before you act.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date.
